Steven Canyon began composing music at 7 years of age. One of his most successful songs, “Eternal “Love” was composed at the age of 17. As a prodigy, Steven remembers aggressively attracting the ability to play the piano while becoming a vessel for music he was hearing in his thoughts and seeing in visions.
Born in Dallas, Texas, Steven’s mother recognized his gifted abilities and found a musical instructor to give him lessons—but Steven wasn't able to conform to the restrictions of musical notes. His constant drive to play original creations that he was hearing from within and the need to channel those melodies overpowered the written music on the page and the discipline of instructions. As a result, Steven went on to become a self taught concert pianist and composer.
As an artist that inhabits the music he creates, Steven composes each song as the storyteller—creating musical visions of wonder and romance. He writes from a place of emotive senses and says “I see the energy and color of melodies within the flow of creation from Higher Consciousness. I can hear fall colors and an Autumn moon as it moves across the sky. Steven says the songs he writes come from “THE Source of all things.”
Throughout his career, Steven has formed and toured with self-titled orchestras, ensembles and given intimate solo performances. Whether he is being featured on NPR, the Dove Network or Atlanta Live…his message remains the same—music is for the passion of joy, the gratitude of life, it’s for healing the soul and the inspiration of enlightenment. Unconditional Love for all of life and acceptance of one’s authentic self are at the heart of Steven endearing music.
Inspired by his ability to hear and channel music, Steven has spent decades researching the transcendental relationship of the human experience to the super-realm of creativity. He is also a best selling Law of Attraction author, founder of Kinetic Belief, a subset theory to the God Particle and a spiritual teacher - delving into quantum physics, ancient spiritual texts and the science behind our most vital human ability - the power to manifest.
Steven’s latest song “August Moon” was released to critical acclaim in 2019. Beginning in 2022 Steven Canyon is touring with his London based ensemble consisting of world class musicians and vocalists.
Since the 1990’s Steven has taken every opportunity to teach young children about music while encouraging them to follow their dreams, and to believe they can experience anything they can imagine. He continues his philanthropic work with impoverished children around the world.
Steven says, “I write music to share my most intimate emotions ensconced in the melodies of Light and Love. There can never be too much positive energy in this world. My hope is that my music will inspire others to be seen as an individual, heard as an original and loved for their genius of purpose.”
